1st Day of My PRO-ELT Class

I had started my PRO-ELT class on 4th of March. Hurmm... :( Too old to study again.... (35 is young actually :)...) But "Saya Yang Menurut Perintah".... Our trainer for that day was TARA BEISWANGER (she said she was only the temporary trainer for us). 

Our first lesson for the first class was about the "Manglish". She told us that she was confuse when her first time in Malaysia.. Some words and sentences really confusing her. Therefore, we are give a task on this topic to be discussed.

Some "Manglish" examples are given by TARA were:

1. “Off the air-con, please.”
2. "Eh, can you fetch me home from work, today, ah?”  
3. "I need to go to the stationary shop to photostat this document.”  

What I eagerly to story about was the word 'FETCH'. I usually use this word every time. But then I realized when TARA told us the word 'fetch' is ONLY used for animals. All this while I used that word for me.. HUHUHUHU.....

The correct sentences that we corrected were:

1. "Can you switch off the air-conditioner, please?"
2. “Can you pick me up from work today"
3. "I need to go to the stationary shop to make a photocopy of this  document.”

We went home early for our first day lesson because TARA was just only the substitution trainer for the day. It was only some briefing about the course and gathering personal information from all the trainees.
